About: Free Verse teaches literature and creative writing in juvenile detention centers and facilities across the state of Montana. It was founded in 2014, and in 2016 it became fiscally sponsored by the Missoula Writing Collaborative, an organization which places writers in school classrooms, after-school programs, youth homes and other venues to show young people the power of words and help them find their voices as writers.
